What do we do?
deStar ltd. was established to aid in the development and delivery of products in the wireless arena.
We concentrate on managing customer and end-user experience by:
- focusing on the capabilities and short comings of today’s GSM networks, hence setting expectations,
- applying it’s hard earned experience to help customers develop a flawless UI,
- carry out business analysis to ensure customers have exploited all possible revenue streams,
- act on behalf of customers in network operator selection and subsequent negotiations,
- prepare customers and their products for GPRS, EDGE and 3G,
- provide technical and development support.
Where do we come from?
deStar ltd. was formed as a result of many years experience in the telecom’s industry, predominantly concentrating on the mobile space. deStar ltd. technical staff have designed, built and operated at various times and at a variety of levels through to management, systems and applications in the following areas:
- Billing. Airtime, event and subscription billing engines for a variety of companies including:
- Airtime billing for customers with hundreds of end-users and a million CDRs per day,
- Subscription billing for a customer with 6+ million end-users across multiple product areas and tariffs,
- Event billing for a customer with 7+ million end-users charging in excess of 6 million events per day according to a ground breaking tariff plan second to none in its industry sector.
- Provisioning. Directly managed the design, build and operation of a mailbox (voice, FAX, etc) provisioning system. The design withstood a subscriber base increase from 500,000 subscribers to 6+ million in 2 years.
- Business Intelligence. MIS has been an integral part of all our deliveries. deStar ltd. has a firm belief in the value of Information. For this reason deStar ltd. focuses very heavily on our solutions providing sustained levels of Management Information for CRM, product management and business management.
